daily rhythm
The beauty of a SELF-retreat is that there is no schedule. You don’t have to rush to any classes or discussions and there is no wake up time. We do however have a daily rhythm to support you in doing absolutely nothing…
- Silence is held until lunchtime each day. You may wish to sleep in, take a walk, meditate, journal, draw, read, practice yoga on the deck, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, or just indulge in the deliciousness of absolutely nothing… all guided by rainforest birdsong.
- Following a tasty healthy lunch in the sun, and possibly a little natter with a fellow SELF-retreater, afternoons allow space for optional therapies and optional activities that support relaxation, self-exploration and self-discovery. There is no expectation whatsoever to engage in the afternoon activities and if you choose to take an afternoon siesta instead, you won’t feel like you’re missing out on anything!
- A nurturing home-cooked dinner is usually shared convivially. It’s amazing how much there is to talk about after a quiet day of nothing at all! You may wish to participate in our evening program that encourages self-inquiry, self-acceptance and self-love, or go further into nothingness by sinking into a cushion near the fire’s mesmerizing flames.
Again, if you want to snuggle up on a lounge with a novel, or go to bed early and just listen to the sound of nature surrounding you, then we won’t keep you up!
